Dawn has ascended through the ranks at the The Atlanta Voice. Starting out as Sports Editor in 2017, Montgomery currently serves as the Chief Brand Officer. Montgomery earned a Bachelor's degree from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. She also earned an Associate’s degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gautier, Mississippi.
Dawn has developed key skill sets such as Event & Social Media Management, Public Speaking, Media Relations, Marketing, Sponsorship and Leadership that aids in her consistent excellence throughout her media career.
Dawn is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), NAMI DeKalb, Atlanta Association of Black Journalists (AABJ), the Atlanta Press Club and is a board member of Kuntry Kidz Inc. a non-profit organization in her hometown of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Dawn lives in Decatur and has three children; Sean, Christopher and Grace.
