Itoro Umontuen currently serves as Managing Editor of The Atlanta Voice. Upon his arrival to the historic publication, he served as their Director of Photography. As a mixed-media journalist, Umontuen later served as Sports Director. During that time, Umontuen photographed his first College Football Playoff National Championship game, cover his first gubernatorial race and his first Super Bowl.
However, his love for photography, politics and teaching saw Umontuen ascend to the Managing Editor position at the end of 2018.
Umontuen is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is a graduate of Tennessee State University.
