Monday night, Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum returned to his alma mater, the school that ‘Sits on the Highest of Seven Hills,’ Florida A&M University for a midnight rally at the Al Lawson Multipurpose Center. However, Gillum did not come alone.

The Mayor of Tallahassee did not come alone. Music impresario and personality, Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Monica, rappers Quavo, Fat Joe and Gunna joined CNN political commentator Angela Rye, Comedian Tiffany Haddish and television and film producer Will Packer at FAMU.

“We are in the midst of a black excellence moment and we have the opportunity to make history,” Combs said. “That’s how much I believe in this man, Andrew Gillum. I believe he’s going to make a change. It’s an honor for me to be here.”

According to RealClearPolitics, Gillum has an average four point lead over Republican Ron DeSantis in the race for governor. The 39 year old FAMU alum let everyone know his intentions are after Election Night.

“The next time we share the same air, the next time we get to exchange brotherly and sisterly love, the next time we get to enjoy The Marching 100, I won’t be greeting you as the mayor of Tallahassee,” Gillum declared.
