Bria Suggs became a General Assignment Reporter for The Atlanta Voice in August 2021. In 2019, she earned 2nd place for Best Entertainment Story at GCPA. In SEJC's 2020 Best of the South Awards, she placed 9th for Best Arts and Entertainment Writer. Along with writing articles, she also experiments with photography and poetry. She’s a recent Magna Cum Laude graduate from Georgia State University. During her time there, she majored in Creative Writing and minored in Journalism. While attending Georgia State University, she worked for their award-winning student newspaper, The Signal. She became the Arts and Living Editor, where she had the opportunity to run her own editorial team. She was also the Digital Media Assistant for the Office of Graduate Services at Georgia State. She’s always had a passion for writing, and is excited to pursue it as her career. In the future, she hopes to attend a graduate school program for journalism.
