Vice President Kamala Harris is moving full steam ahead after a huge groundswell of support in the last nine days. After Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear stumped for Harris in Forsyth County on Sunday, the Harris campaign has maintained unprecedented momentum.
Ahead of today’s rally in Atlanta, the Harris campaign has attracted new volunteers. 190,000 new volunteers signed up over the weekend, bringing the total to 360,000. Additionally, Vice President Harris’s campaign has raised over $200 million in less than a week. Two-thirds of these contributions are from first-time donors.
“The infrastructure this campaign built to have the staffing, the volunteer infrastructure, the training, the collateral, the voter contact guidance and mechanisms, has been built diligently from the winter,” said Battleground States Director Dan Kanninen. “When you add to that, this incredible groundswell of support, all of those people get plugged in infrastructure that already exists. That’s primed and ready to turn that into direct action.”
Coalescing of Coalitions
During a White Dudes for Harris call Monday evening, more than 120,000 White men raised $2 million for the Harris campaign in the first 20 minutes. This comes on the heels of a zoom call with Win With Black Women that hosted 44,000 attendees and raised more than $1.5 million on Sunday, July 21st. The following day, a group of Black men under a similar banner, Win With Black Men. Hosted by Roland Martin, attracted nearly 54,000 attendees and raised $1.3 million.
During a press call Monday afternoon, the Harris campaign realizes the election will be close. That’s why mobilizing the coalitions is the key for the Democrats.
“The last campaign ultimately ended when Georgia was famously decided by 11,780 votes in 2020,” said Michael Tyler, the Harris campaign’s communications director. “And we expected to be as close as competitive this year. That’s why we have the team and the operation in place to make sure that we can turn out every single voter in the state of Georgia.”
According to the latest polling conducted by Emerson, Trump leads Harris by two points Georgia (48% to 46%). 7% of voters are undecided. In their previous poll, Trump was leading President Joe Biden by six points.
Meg Thee Stallion set to join Harris in Atlanta

Megan Thee Stallion will join Vice President Harris in Atlanta today. The three-time GRAMMY Award Winner confirmed the news on her Instagram page Monday evening. Megan’s endorsement of Harris follows those from Cardi B, Lizzo, Charli XCX and more. Last week, Beyoncé permitted Harris to use “Freedom” as her walk out music. Harris recently used the song in portions of her first official campaign ad.
“There are some people who think that we should be a country of chaos, of fear, of hate. But us? We choose something different: We choose freedom,” says Harris during the ad.
Megan performed three times at State Farm Arena earlier this summer to sold out crowds.
