Georgiaโs Congressional House races were won by the following incumbent U.S. Representatives: Rick Allen (GA-12), Sanford Bishop (GA-02), Buddy Carter (GA-01), Andrew Clyde (GA-09), Mike Collins (GA-10), Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14), Hank Johnson (GA-04), Barry Loudermilk (GA-11), Lucy McBath (GA-06), Rich McCormick (GA-07), Austin Scott (GA-08), David Scott (GA-13), and Nikema Williams (GA-05).
Republican Brian Jack won election to the U.S. House in Georgiaโs 3rd Congressional District.
McBath was drawn out of her district multiple times by the Republicans in the Georgia Legislature multiple times to flip her seat. She went to social media to voice her thoughts:
โJordan, my fight has always been for you,โ McBath wrote on Instagram, referencing her son, Jordan Davis who was killed in 2012 due to race-based gun violence. โYou were ripped away, so I stood up to prevent senseless gun violence. The GA GOP drew maps to kick me out of Congress, but tonight, we made sure their schemes failed again. To everyone who believed and joined me in this fight, thank you.โ
Gold Dome Races

Transitioning to the Statehouse, notably, Dr. Jasmine Clark, a Democrat from Lilburn, won re-election in her race in Georgia House District 108, defeating Elvia Davila. Clark, a biologist by trade, carried her district with nearly 54% of the vote.
โThank you HD 108 for putting your trust in me once more, for the next two years! I look forward to continuing to serve all of our community,โ Clark wrote on Instagram.
Incumbent Farooq Mughal, a Democrat from Dacula, lost his race in Georgia House District 105. Sandra Donatucci defeated Mughal by ninety-eight votes.
Inga Willis, a Democrat from Atlanta, won re-election in Georgia House District 55. Also, Imani Barnes, a Democrat from Tucker, won re-election in her race in Georgia House District 86.
Georgia Ballot Measures
Georgia Amendment One, which authorizes a home property tax exemption, passed with 62.9% of voters in favor. This proposed amendment to Georgia’s constitution would authorize the General Assembly to enact a law exempting a portion of a home’s assessed value from property taxes. Counties do have until March 2025 to opt out of this measure.
Georgia Amendment Two, which creates a state tax court, passed. This amendment to Georgia’s constitution would create a state tax court, with jurisdiction to be established by state law.
Georgia Amendment Three a referendum Increases the personal property tax exemption passed. This ballot measure would increase the value of personal property exempt from property taxes from $7,500 to $20,000.
Atlanta City Council Race heads to runoff
Eshe Collins and Dr. Nicole Evans Jones are heading to a runoff race to decide who represents Post 3, a city-wide position with the Atlanta City Council. Nicole Evans Jonesย led the race with 40% of the vote andย Eshรฉ Collinsย with 25%, respectively.
Collins has eleven years of experience as a School Board member and a Civil Rights Attorney. Collins is endorsed by Georgia State Senator Jason Esteves, plus State Representatives Kim Schofield, and Stacy Evans.
Dr. Nicole Evans Jones is a third generation Atlantan. She is backed by former Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and Andrew Young. Evans Jones is emphasizing neighborhood prioritization and a decentralized government.
A runoff date is set for December 3. Early voting is scheduled to start November 25.
