Friday morning, the Raphael Warnock for U.S. Senate campaign announced a new round of endorsements from state officials, including members of the Metro Atlanta delegation inside the State Capitol. Included in the endorsements are House Minority Whip William Boddie and Minority Caucus Secretary Pat Gardner. Thursday, five Atlanta City Council Presidents, including current President Felicia A. Moore, along with Cathy Woolard and Lisa Borders also endorsed the Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
“I am humbled by the support of such strong leaders in this movement,” said Reverend Warnock. “Since I began my service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, I have watched and admired their leadership and work in our state for years. I look forward to working with them to fight for Georgians, and putting the interests of working people first in Washington.”
Warnock’s name was not on ballots in Tuesday’s primary election because his contest between U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler and U.S. Rep. Doug Collins is a special election to be held on November 3rd. The two candidates with the most votes would then face each other in December, sending the winner to Washington to serve the final two years of former U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson.
