Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and the Atlanta Police Department announced a 5% reduction in crime in 2024, attributed to the One Safe City plan, which targets gangs, drugs, illegal guns and repeat offenders, as well as programs and initiatives such as midnight basketball, nightlife division, and youth employment programs.
