Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16, star Shamea Morton, an Atlanta Hawks in-game host, will be performing at halftime of the team’s win-or-go-home play-in game against the Miami Heat on Friday night at State Farm Arena.
Morton is familiar with the Atlanta sports scene after spending years as an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader and Atlanta Hawks dancer. She took time to talk to The Atlanta Voice about the upcoming performance on Thursday morning.

Having been at half court with a microphone talking to Hawks fans for years, Morton said this performance of her new single “Neva Had”, which was produced by RL of the R&B group Next and Brian “B-Flat” Cook, will be very different from her nights during Hawks games.
“It’s a different capacity entirely,” she said. “This feels like such a full circle moment for me.”
Born and raised in Atlanta, Morton said she has always been a “lover of music and art” and is looking forward to “having the court as my stage.”
“It’s such a blessing to be able to come to my favorite team and my hometown and perform my new single,” she said.
“Neva Had” is available for download and purchase on Apple Music and other music providers.
