One of the country’s largest pizza makers is moving into a suburban Atlanta headquarters.
Louisville-based pizza giant Papa John’s International (NASDAQ: PZZA) will begin moving into its new Atlanta HQ at Three Ballpark Center, located at The Battery, this week. Relocation of the entire staff is nearly complete, according to Papa John’s communications staff.
The company announced its intentions of having a corporate office in Atlanta last September and since has been building its Atlanta team in anticipation of having an office for them to work in. Atlanta-based employees have been remote for over a year, according to Senior Communications Manager Harrison Sheffield.
There will be 190 employees working on the commercial, communications, development, operations, people operations, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion teams at the location.
The 34-year old company’s IT, legal and supply chain teams will remain in Louisville. In a Sept. 17, 2020 press release Papa John’s International President and CEO acknowledged how important their Louisville headquarters was to the company. “It remains essential to the company’s success.”
Papa John’s joins other giant companies like Google, FanDuel, and Microsoft in making Atlanta home for corporate headquarters.
Papa John’s will take over the top two floors at Three Ballpark Center. The 10th and 11th floors total a combined 60,000 square feet.
“In the past year, we have already begun enjoying the results of our decision to open a headquarters in a region offering the diversity, deep talent pool and access to international markets that Atlanta is known for,” said Chief People & Diversity Officer Marvin Boakye.
The 335,561 square foot, 11-story building is located at 788 Circle 75 Parkway. Papa John’s also has a corporate office in the United Kingdom.
