
The Atlanta Braves were down 6-5 in the fourth inning in New York when one of the hottest hitters in Major League Baseball cleared the bases and gave his team the lead with a grand slam. Michael Harris II has gone 4-9 against the Mets during the first two games of term three-game series at Citi Field this week.
Harris has been of the National League’s best players since the All-Star break. Harris, who has gone 41-120 during the past 30 games, is currently batting .342 with 16 RBI. During that 30-game span, Harris has hit seven home runs and scored 20 runs for the Braves. He has hit in the 4, 5, and 6 spots in the lineup, a long way from when he was batting eighth and ninth a few months ago.
On Tuesday in the first game of the series, Harris was 2-4 from the plate. He would get two more hits, four RBI, and score two runs during Wednesday’s come-from-behind victory. To say Harris is playing some of the best baseball of his career is a major understatement. His on base percentage during the past 30 games is .358 and he is slugging at a .633 rate.
The Mets starting pitcher for Wednesday’s rubber match will be Kodai Senga. Harris hasn’t faced this season. He is only hitting
