As football season returns for Atlanta Public Schools this season, things will look a bit different. After not having fans at all last season, fans will be allowed and also ticket sales will move to electronic through the GoFan App.

This move comes as a way to limit in person contact at games, make games safer and more efficient for parents and fans.

This new rule goes for all school based athletic events where you need a ticket and at APS stadiums including Lakewood Stadium, Henderson Stadium and Henderson Athletic Complex.

“This new process will help us limit person-to-person contact and cut down on the time parents and fans spend waiting in line at the ticket gate,” said APS Athletic Director Jasper Jewell.

APS states that this move should make it easier for parents and fans to access and share tickets through email or text without standing in long lines.

It is recommended for parents and fans to purchase tickets only prior to arriving at the facility. For their convenience, signs will be set up at the venue to help guide them through the online purchasing process.
