The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. (100BMOA) will hold its 38th Annual Conference in Atlanta on June 12-16, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. While thousands of members from the organization’s 103 chapters across the country will be traveling to Atlanta to convene, non-members can also register to attend.
This year’s convention, themed ‘Future-Proofing Our Youth, Members, and Communities’, expects to see over 6,000 attendees, and promises a unique experience combining inspiration, education, and empowerment.
“We meet every year at this time and bring members together to reconnect with the work of [100BMOA], to look at new ways to do the work that we do, to help us mentor young people and bring leadership to the communities that we are in. As well as focus on health and wellness, economic empowerment, and education,” said Milton H. Jones Jr., Chairman of 100BMOA.

An Atlanta resident, Jones, 71, joined the 100 Black Men of Atlanta Chapter back in 1997. He served as 100BMOA’s national rreasurer for nine years before being elected as Chairman last year.
Jones continued, “We have workshops and sessions around each of those four pillars of education, mentoring, health and wellness, and economic empowerment. We come together to learn from each other. We come together to share ideas with each other. We come together to get better at what we do. As a result, when we go back to the communities we are from, which contains over 100 chapters in the U.S., plus one in London and one in Turks and Caicos, we go back and bring other services to the people that we serve and communities that we help build in.”
The conference will hold more than 35 sessions, panels, competitions, and discussions over four days. Specific topics have been created exclusively for middle school, high school, and college-aged young people formally mentored by the organization.
Information for members includes sessions about grant writing, capacity building, self-development, and ways to dig deeper when helping the young people mentored.
The 38th annual convention is also expected to have a few celebrities stopping by, such as Actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish, Monica Pearson, John Hope Bryant, Judge Glenda Hatchett, American TV Personality and Sunny Hostin, Co-Host, The VIEW & Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst, ABC News are scheduled to be in attendance. The Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, will give remarks at the Salute to Youth Luncheon.
One of the newest additions to the conference is the Business Summit, which aims to help business owners grow their businesses and create opportunities with larger companies.
“During our conference, we will have procurement executives from major companies come in and they will meet with business owners who are members of the 100 and business owners who are local to Atlanta who are not members of the 100. The idea is to start with a panel with a panel that will have Jay Bailey from the [Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs] speak about what it takes to do business with big companies. There will be a round of interactions between these business owners and procurement officers from major companies, with the whole intent being to find ways to do business with each other and create contracts. It’s a power-packed summit to create opportunity, not in lecture form, but in interaction around results,” Jones said.
Additionally, it was recently announced that U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will speak at the convention on Friday, June 14; which coincides with the convention’s programming targeting Black voters.
Sponsors for this year’s convention include: Wells Fargo, State Farm, and Coca-Cola Company. Delta Airlines is the official airline for the convention and UPS is the Registration Sponsor.
