OWN TV’s is not finished adding to its primetime arsenal.
In addition to ordering three new unscripted television shows, the network has presented us with “Ready To Love,” a dating series from Will Packer Media and Lighthearted Entertainment that captures the triumphs and travails of a group of single Black men and women in their 30s and 40s trying to find lasting love.
What’s different from the normal dating show is that “Ready to Love” highlights the men’s observations and experiences in the search for true life match in Atlanta.
Hosted by funnyman Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles of The Steve Harvey Morning Show, who has been married for 30 years, OWN’s “Ready to Love” is produced by Will Packer Media and Lighthearted Entertainment.
“Ready to Love” made its official premiere last night and OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network invited select media and urban influencers to the Suite Lounge in downtown Atlanta to celebrate the premiere.
“Nephew Tommy” Miles and many members of the cast were in attendance. A host of celebrity guests were also in attendance, including “Sister Circle Live” co-hosts Syleena Johnson, Rashan Ali, Quad Webb-Lunceford and Trina Braxton; “Greenleaf” star Lamman Rucker; comedian and tv personality Kiana Dance; Xscape singer Tamika Scott; media personality Necole Kane; actress Reece Odum, actor Mike Merrill & more.
This was seen as the opportunity to celebrate OWN’s first-ever dating show. Moments before the live broadcast, guests enjoyed cocktails, delectable cuisine and music by DJ Traci Steele.
