Donald Trump took to the stage at the NRA convention in Dallas to share his support for the Second Amendment and to outline what he’s accomplished over the last 15 months.

“Thanks to your activism and dedication, you have an administration fighting to protect your Second Amendment and we will protect your Second Amendment,” he told the crowd.

In a familiar refrain Trump brought up African-American unemployment being at historic lows and then thanked Kanye West for his support.

This week Kanye stunned fans with a Twitter tirade supporting Donald Trump. Yeezy confirmed that he’s now caping for white supremacy, aligning with Trump through his tweets, calling him his brother and stepping out with a devil red Make American Great Again ball cap is proof that the rapper has sunk to a new low.

But today, his new BFF was singing his praises.

President Trump, during his remarks at the NRA Convention, thanked artist Kanye West for a bump in his African American approval numbers.

“By the way, Kanye West must have some power, because you probably saw I doubled my African-American poll numbers. We went from 11 to 22 in one week, thank you Kanye,” he said, joking that “even the pollsters” thought there was a mistake.

Of course he didn’t share a source of these fake figures.

Many on social media are distancing themselves from West and his delusions of grandeur.

John Legend has something to say about Kanye West’s unordinary tweets and took issue with him praising the President saying:

“I love that great, brilliant artists have the power to imagine a better future. But artists can’t be blind to the truth,” he tweeted.
