Are you a member of the Black-owned business community? Would you like to be a core part of how we deliver quality news and information to your community? Would you like to participate in the way we deliver news and information that meets your needs? If you answered yes, then we’re looking for you!

The Atlanta Voice is on a mission to interview 25 members of the Black-owned business community. If you identify as a member of the Black-owned business community, please consider volunteering time for a brief conversation of about  30 minutes, no longer than an hour.

Borealis Philanthropy Racial Equity in Journalism Fund and the American Press Institute are supporting The Atlanta Voice through creating methods for listening and serving our local community. We hope this will build in-depth engagement between our organization and people like you.

Most importantly, this is at the heart of producing stronger journalism that establishes a deeper trust and loyalty between the Black-owned business community and the Atlanta Voice.

Over the next year, API and REJ will provide audience development research and coaching to The Atlanta Voice in methods of listening to community members more effectively.
