We spent time with star linebacker Whitney Mercilus of the Houston Texans, a 2018 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. During his six-year career, Mercilus has tallied 276 total tackles and 42.5 sacks for the Texans.

In 2016, Mercilus launched the WithMerci Foundation, the former first-round draft pick from Illinois is providing advocate services and support to the families of children with disabilities and special needs.

“I was looking for a cause that I could get heavily involved in hands-on,” Mercilus said. “I want to help people, and this is a way that I can do that and help these kids.”

For this and more, watch our interview with Mercilus. Special thanks to Sheena Quick from Quick out the Blocks and Fox Sports Radio with the assist.
