There will be a public funeral service for Amanda Davis, the veteran news anchor who died unexpectedly from a massive stroke on Wed. Dec. 27, 2017. The service will be held at the Cascade United Methodist Church, located at 3144 Cascade Road, Southwest, Atlanta. The service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wed., Jan. 3, 2018.

Davis’ family has requested that no cameras be allowed in the church during the service.

There will also be a public viewing held on Tue., Jan. 2, 2018, at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home, which is located at 4347 Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur, Ga. The viewing is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Davis, an award-winning news anchor, spent 26 years at WAGA-TV, currently an Atlanta Fox affiliate. She retired briefly following a personal battle with alcohol, which was well documented in a three-part series which aired in CBS 46 in 2016.

Davis was 62 years old.
