Tomorrow afternoon at around 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, United States Senators-elect Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) and Rev. Raphael G. Warnock will be officially sworn into the United States Senate.

Ossoff’s election marks a historic generational shift in the Senate. Ossoff will take office as the first Senator born in the 1980’s, the youngest Senator in Georgia history, the youngest Democratic Senator since then-U.S. Senator Joe Biden, and the first Jewish person to serve the state of Georgia in the U.S. Senate.

Ossoff will become the first Democrat sworn into a full term in the U.S. Senate from Georgia since 1996. Ossoff will be sworn in on Hebrew scripture that belonged to historic Atlanta Rabbi Jacob Rothschild, a civil rights activist and close ally of Dr. King. He’ll be escorted into the Senate for his swearing-in by Senator Cory Booker.

Reverend Warnock will be sworn into the United States Senate by Vice President Kamala Harris, following her historic inauguration.
