The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will hold three community meetings to discuss proposed bus service modifications to 25 routes. The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the Clayton County Riverdale Library, Wednesday, Jan. 10 at the Adamsville Recreation Center, and Thursday, Jan. 11 at the South Fulton Service Center.
MARTA representatives will be on hand for the meetings which begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. All changes accepted by MARTA’s Board of Directors will become effective Apr. 14, 2018.
MARTA regularly evaluates bus route performance including scheduling, on-time performance, ridership, and safety. Modifications were recommended based on feedback received from customers and the Authority’s service analysis.
Modifications to the following routes will be discussed:
• Route 1: Marietta Blvd./Joseph E. Lowery Blvd;
• Route 3: Martin Luther King Jr. Dr./Auburn Ave.;
• Route 12: Howell Mill Rd./Cumberland;
• Route 14: 14th St./Blandtown;
• Route 26: Perry Blvd./North Ave.;
• Route 37: Defoors Ferry Rd.;
• Route 50: Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy.;
• Route 51: Joseph E. Boone Blvd.;
• Route 58: Atlanta Industrial/Hollywood Rd.;
• Route 60: Hightower Rd./Moores Mill;
• Route 66: Lynhurst/Greenbriar;
• Route 68: Donnelly Ave./Peyton;
• Route 82: Camp Creek Pkwy./Welcome All Rd.;
• Route 84: Washington Rd./Camp Creek Marketplace;
• Route 93: Headland Dr./Princeton Lakes;
• Route 153: H.E. Holmes/Browntown;

Copies of the proposed bus service modifications will also be available at MARTA Department of Planning, located at 2424 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, GA 30324, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
