Collins Hill Eagles wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter put on a show Saturday night/Sunday morning finishing the game with 13 catches for 232 yards and two touchdowns.

The Brookwood Broncos had no answer for Hunter and the Eagles as they fell 36-10 in the finale of the 2021 Corky Kell Classic.

In the battle of Gwinnett schools, they wanted to prove who was the best in the county. For the Broncos, they were up to the challenge early on.

On the game’s opening drive, the Broncos drove down to the Eagles 20 yard line. They settled for three as kicker JJ Silva’s 36 yard field goal was good as they led 3-0 with 3:35 to go in the first quarter.

Everything was going great for the Broncos until midway in the second quarter.

Hunter began to make his presence on the game as Eagles quarterback Sam Horn connected with him on a 77 yard touchdown pass putting the Eagles ahead 7-4 with 7:10 to go in the second quarter.

The Broncos responded on the ensuing offensive possession. Broncos quarterback Dylan Lonergan connected with Stone Bonner on a 24 yard touchdown pass to take back the lead at 10-7 with 5:10 to go in the second quarter.

The Eagles looked to respond, going no huddle on offense the ensuing possession. This time Horn found receiver Richard Ransom for a 17 yard touchdown pass as the Eagles went back up 14-10 with 1:42 to go until halftime.

As the Broncos were trying to wind down the clock and make it to halftime, a fumble by Broncos running back Jumal Prothro recovered by the Eagles gave the Eagles momentum and great field position at the Broncos 28.

Collins Hill took advantage as Hunter threw a 28 yard touchdown pass to Cameron Pedro to go up 21-10 heading into halftime.

The Eagles shut out the Broncos in the second half and built on their lead.

Eagles kicker Isaac Bonacci converted on a 30 yard field goal to go up 24-10 with 6:43 to go in the third quarter.

Hunter began to show his presence in the game. This time, intercepting Longeran on the Broncos ensuing drive putting the Eagles offense on their own 43.

The Eagles finished the drive with Horn rushing in from 24 yards as the Eagles went up 30-10 (missed PAT) with 5:20 to go in the third quarter.

Horn connected with Hunter again for a 31 yard touchdown pass as the Eagles finished the game with a 36-10 victory.

Horn finished the game with 31-44 for 402 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.
