Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Demetris Robertson announced that he is transferring to SEC rival Auburn Wednesday around noon via Instagram.

This decision does not come as a shock to most Bulldogs fans as the news of Robertson entering the transfer portal broke June 11.

“Thank you Georgia Football from the bottom of my heart for everything,” Robertson said in his Instagram post. “With that being said, I have decided to use my last year of eligibility at Auburn University!”

Robertson played in 32 games in three seasons for the Bulldogs. He finishes his career at Georgia with 42 receptions for 443 yards and three touchdowns.

This past season, he finished with 12 catches for 110 yards.

The Bulldogs receiving core will have its work cut out for them as their star receivers George Pickens, Jermaine Burton and Dominick Blaylock are injured as the Bulldogs open their season against Clemson on September 4 in Charlotte.
