The Georgia NAACP has issued a statement regarding the decision of Atlanta Delta Airlines to discontinue discounts for NRA members in the wake of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14 that left 17 people dead. The statements reads:

“The Georgia State Conference of the NAACP supports Delta Airlines in their decision to stop offering discounts and other benefits to the National Rifle Association (NRA) members. “The bottom line is to save the lives of our children”, says Phyllis Blake, Georgia NAACP President.

The Georgia NAACP stands behind all of the companies that pulled their support of the N.R.A. following the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. We will continue to fight to protect the lives of our children who are our future.”
