After what may seem like an eternity, the FX hit series, Atlanta, is back but this time with a Tiny Toon.

Monday, February 26th, marked the premiere of season two at Starlight Six Drive in Atlanta, Georgia. To capture the essence of season two, fans were allowed to enjoy episode 1, “Alligator Man” in the comforts of a makeshift living room. Throughout the evening music from Atlanta natives: Future, 2 Chainz, Ludacris, and T.I. blared creating an atmosphere that can only be felt in Atlanta.

The presence of luxury cars, spinning rims, and suicide doors only heightening the excitement of the evening. More after the jump, now watch our corespondent, Krystal Ketcham, interview the cast and writers on the Red Carpet (Don’t forget to subscribe!):

Created by rapper, actor, and Emmy award-winning director, Donald Glover and his brother, Stephen Glover, Atlanta follows a drug dealer and aspiring rapper, Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles, on his journey to stardom. Glover said,” I made a conscious decision not to make a show about rappers, but for rappers.” In an interview with Atlanta Voice media correspondent, Krystal Ketcham, Glover said, “ I think we all can relate to rappers.”

Donald explained to fans, this season is out of the ordinary and inspired by the 1990’s classic, Tiny Toons. He said, “I wanted to do something different and unexpected.” Season two also takes an unexpected dark turn by depicting “Robbin’ Season,” making reference to the period right before christmas where most people are at risk of being robbed.

Among those to walk the evening’s red carpet were Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, Brian Tyree Henry who reprises the role as Paper Boi, Atlanta writer and producer Stefani Robinson, renowned music producer and Atlanta native Sonny Digital, as well as, director Hiro Murai.
