Wednesday’s Early National Signing day featured many athletes signing their letters of intent to play at the school of their choice. It is a day coaches, parents, and the players themselves are excited and proud of. For some, this is only the beginning and it marks the beginning of their next level careers. Here are some notable players who signed:
The cornerback for the Lions who originally committed to LSU flipped to Clemson on Saturday night after their Friday playoff game against Allatoona. The 6’2″, four-star cornerback signed with Clemson and gives the Tiger a much-needed player on the defensive side next season.
Another great weapon on the Lions’ deadly offense is staying close to home signing with Georgia Tech. The 6’5, three-star tight end will be a critical piece in the Yellow Jackets offense once given the opportunity. Blackburn has been committed to the Yellow Jackets for some time but sealed the Wednesday.
The three-star cornerback for the Lions will be heading to Mississippi as he signed with the Rebels of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Williams had three offers from three SEC schools in Arkansas, South Carolina, and Kentucky. The Rebels added a key cornerback on the defensive side of the ball.
Another great wide receiver in Collins officially signed with Clemson. The 6’3″, four-star wide receiver has been committed to Clemson since last year and could be one of the next best Tigers receivers in Swinney’s offense.
This 6-4 offensive linebacker signed with the Tigers of LSU and will look to battle for playing time on the Tigers defense. Carter had interest from Alabama, Boston College, and East Carolina.
Another wide receiver from Georgia will be signing to a power five school, this time it is Notre Dame. Thomas is a 6’1″, four-star receiver who chose the Irish over Alabama, Arkansas, Boston College, and Florida.
Gee is a 6’1″, three-star safety heading to Baton Rouge to play for LSU. Hee chose the Tigers over Cincinnati and Clemson.
Ball is a 6’5″, three-star offensive tackle who chose Arkansas over Akron, Appalachian State, and Arizona State.
