Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our patrons, guest, artists, and volunteers, the “First Friday at First” jazz events at First Congregational Church in downtown Atlanta will be canceled for the remainder of spring and summer 2020. These dates include May 1, June 5, July 3, and Aug. 7.

Sponsored and hosted by First Congregational Church under the direction of its pastor The Rev. Dwight Andrews, the monthly “First Friday at First”  jazz concerts are hosted on the first Friday of each month from February through November.

“First Congregational Church and the First Friday committee thank you for your support and pray for your continued good health,” Andrews said. “Please continue to visit our website and other social media outlets to receive updates about the future concerts on our 2020 schedule.”

Decisions about the status of future First Friday concerts will be guided by recommendations for the CDC, WHO, Federal, State, and local governments, a spokesperson said.

Also, the First Friday Committee will honor any advance purchase tickets, the spokesperson confirmed. Tickets may also be exchanged for a future concert or refunded.
