The Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne has canceled an event with Kanye West, which was set to take place this week.

Promoting his new book, “Shook One. Anxiety Playing Tricks On Me,” the radio personality tapped Yeezy to join him, in the discussion, centered around the Black community and mental health awareness. But, it appears that won’t happen.

Charlemagne posted:

Normalizing being mentally healthy is a conversation that I really wanted to have with Kanye because he’s been so vocal about his own mental health struggles. Unfortunately I think to have that conversation with him right now would not be productive and a total distraction from the point of the convo which is to eradicate the stigma of mental health especially in the black community.”- ME

This all comes after the controversial rapper meets with President Donald Trump and makes tone-deaf statements, including:

“There was something about when I put this hat on it made me feel like Superman. You made a Superman, that’s my favorite superhero, you made a Superman cape for me.”

We all know this is a good idea.
