Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is using the COVID relief funds they received from the federal government to support students who have been hit hard by the pandemic.

CAU’s President George T. French announced Friday the university would be canceling all outstanding student balances for Spring, Summer and Fall of 2020 and Spring and Summer of 2021.

In addition to canceling student balances, CAU bought four thousand Dell laptops for students and WiFi hotspots for students who have limited internet access.

After the Spring 2020 semester was abruptly cut short, CAU refunded or pro-rated housing and meal plan costs for the semester. Tuition and fees were also discounted for the 2020-2021 academic school year.

Clark made it clear that because this is a one-time cancellation, benefiting students won’t have any changes to their financial aid situation.
