Kristie Bolemen, current Student Government Association President at Atlanta Technical College (ATC), has been selected to lead the Georgia Student Government Association (GSGA). Bolemen will now head the organization designed to promote student involvement in technical colleges across Georgia by providing strategic assistance to member schools.
GSGA represents local student government associations and local student leadership councils at institutions throughout the Technical College System of Georgia. Bolemen was chosen to be a part of the state officer team at the GSGA Winter Conference in February. She then competed against the other state officers in an intensive interview process before being selected as the state-wide president.
“Kristie’s election to lead our student body exemplifies the confidence her peers have in her abilities to leave a lasting impact at Atlanta Technical College,” said Victoria Seals, president of ATC. “She has distinguished herself as an effective leader who is dedicated to advancing our mission both on and off campus. We are thrilled that her commitment to excellence was recognized at the state level, and I’m confident she will do great things in this new role.”
Said Dessie Hall, the student life coordinator at ATC about Boleman: “Kristie is dedicated, hardworking, and devoted to her program of study as well as the SGA at Atlanta Technical College. Under her leadership, we have witnessed great improvements around campus, increased membership in SGA, and more efficient communication channels between student-led organizations. I’m excited for (Boleman) to bring this same spirit to the state level with her new team.”
