Atlanta Beltline, Inc. announced Nicole Kimes was appointed to the Chief Financial Officer position Monday.

Kimes’ role will provide leadership and management of all financial matters for ABI. Kimes will also handle processes, policy and procedures for the Finance Department and collaborate with Invest Atlanta on financial matters as appropriate. Kimes will manage financial analysis for transactions which include identifying financing options for capital investments across the entire ABI program.

“I am excited that Nicole is joining us to lead our finance department,” ABI President and CEO, Clyde Higgs said in a press release. “As we contemplate monumental steps forward in our development, it is critical that we have a strategic and efficient CFO. Nicole’s strong real estate and accounting background fits the bill.”

Kimes has 17 years of experience providing accounting and financial reporting services to the real estate industry which are both private and public. With expertise spanning across a wide range of financial responsibilities, including funds, operating and development properties, investor reporting, joint ventures and corporate operations.

The most recent position Kimes served as the Vice President of Accounting for a real estate developer and operator that managed private equity of institutional investors and endowments and foundations.

Kimes holds a BS in Accounting from Southern University and is a native of Mississippi.
