Back for its 9th anniversary, ATL Hip-Hop Day Festival will commence on October 5-6 at Woodruff Park.
A free event for the entire city to enjoy, Atlanta’s infamous DJ Scream returns to as the host of this two-day hip-hop celebration.
“To make it to nine years, for an event, is not something that happens every day,” DJ Scream said.
“Some of the years, I was on tour, traveling and wasn’t able to be a part of it. But definitely, for last few years, I’ve been a part of it as the official host. It’s just an amazing outlet for up-and-coming artists and for the community to come out, and mingle with each other. It’s becoming a staple in the city.”
As the host, DJ Scream will not only introduce some of the up-and-coming acts who will be showcased this year, but he’s also producing a “DJ Scream and Friends” set which will feature some artists who the public is very familiar with.
The lineup for established acts includes:
- DJ Kutt Throat
- Sean Teezy
- Jabias Da Kidd
- DJ Ace Boogie
- Fort Knox
- Kwony Cash
- DJ Razah
- Windsor Jones
- Nikko the Beach Kid
Additionally, there will be a lot of young artists under the age of 18-years-old who will also be given the opportunity to perform.
“We’re all trying to collaborate on something specifically for the youth even though its all ages,” DJ Scream said.
“It being at Woodruff Park, you see people of all ages from different parts of the city and seeing people from out of town come in. And artists just mingling and networking with other artists, and producer. I just overall like the vibe.
