Some businesses are not eligible for online renewal.

Those businesses include: parking garages, attorneys, legal services and any business with an account with a returned mailing address omitted from their online renewal file.

These businesses are encouraged to download and complete the city’s new renewal application form.

Businesses should note that they will be penalized for not filing. Businesses who have not filed by February 15, 2014 will receive a failure to file notice and $500 fine.

The 2014 Georgia Sport Fishing Regulations Guide provides helpful information, including color fish identification charts for both freshwater and saltwater fish, license purchasing information, contact information for Wildlife Resources Division fisheries management offices and DNR law enforcement offices, trout stream listings, public fishing area information, state record fish listings and complete fishing regulations for Georgia.

Drawing the Dream: African American History in Children’s Literature Art Exhibit

will be open Monday, Jan. 6 - Friday, Jan. 31 at the Auburn Avenue Research Library. The Drawing the Dream: Civil Rights Movement in Illustrated Children’s Literature will also be on display. This exhibition features the work of three-time recipient of the Coretta Scott King Honor Award in Illustration, R. Gregory Christie, and celebrates culturally conscious illustrated children’s literature.

“Remembering Trayvon: A Community Collective Exhibition Community Collective Exhibition” will be on display Monday, Jan. 6 to Sunday, Feb. 2 at The Auburn Avenue Research Library Satellite Gallery at the Hammonds House Museum, located at 503 Peeples Street, Atlanta, GA 30310. This memorial exhibition features various renderings and interpretations of Trayvon Martin, a seventeen-year-old African American male that was tragically shot and killed in his own neighborhood, via photographic, hand-drawn, and digital art forms.
