Community Forum to Combat Illegal Tire and Waste Dumping, Aug. 23

In 2012, more than 9 million tires were dumped in Georgia. More than 1600 were dumped in seven Atlanta neighborhoods alone. Used tires is not part of the regular waste that is picked up by the City of Atlanta. It is up to the neighborhoods to combat this problem. On Saturday, August 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The T.I.R.E.D. Educational Forum (The Initiative to Reduce and Eliminate Dumping) will be held at the New Schools of Carveer, 55 McDonough Blvd, Atlanta 30315.
