Charles W. Richardson Jr., Ph.D., assistant professor of marketing in the Clark Atlanta University (CAU) School of Business Administration, has been named an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow for the 2013-2014 academic year.

He is co-chair of CAU’s Sustainability Council and has won the “Faculty of the Year” Award in the CAU School of Business Administration.

Erica Newsome-Hill, director of community affairs for the Atlanta Braves, was honored at the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. scholarship luncheon.

Other honorees included: Sheryl Riley Gripper, Founder of the Black Women Film Network and Co-Founder of the BronzeLens Film Festival and Janice McKenzie-Crayton, President/CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Aaron A. Gibson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
