Trina Braxton helping ‘Braxton Family Values’ soar
“I think, especially for season one and part of season two, what was going on with Gabe and I was such a stressor for our family that I don’t think they wanted to be a part of that, especially at that time,” she confided.
“But now that things are going so much better with our home life and family life, I think now they want to be a part of it because now our family is in a more positive light,” she added.
Using that light, she, her husband and sons bring awareness to bullying as well as “real-life family situations that families go through,” she said.
For Braxton, who shares her more entrepreneurial side this season – stepping out on faith as a solo artist with her own type of music – deciding to live a portion of her life with cameras rolling has helped she and her sisters do what they set out to do.
“When we first came into the whole world of reality television, we wanted to empower people and we wanted our show to be completely different than any other show out there,” she said. “I think that we’ve succeeded in such that you will never see us brawling and throwing things and spitting on each other.”
