ATLANTA -- Former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien will be honored at the Urban League of Greater Atlanta’s 3rd Annual Spirit of the League Awards Luncheon June 14 (12 p.m.) at Twelve Hotel-Atlantic Station, 361 17th St.

Former WSB anchor Monica Pearson will be the Mistress of Ceremonies for the luncheon, which will honor outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to the community.

ATLANTA – The “2013 Senior Ball” will be held June 8 (5 p.m.) at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 265 Peachtree St.

The free resource expo and black-tie dinner is hosted by DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James, and DeKalb County Commissioner Lee May.
