Emory to host

youth workshop

ATLANTA – Emory University’s Candler School of Theology will host “Entering the Waters: A Workshop Featuring Religion and Culture Remix” on July 12 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) at the school, 1531 Dickey Drive.

The Youth Theological Initiative will discuss how to minister to youth by helping them make wise decisions regarding popular culture -- including Hip Hop music and Reality TV.

The $10 registration fee includes lunch.

Radcliffe to host

etiquette workshops

ATLANTA – Radcliffe Presbyterian Church will host “ESP2 12: Etiquette, Social Graces and Practical Skills” on July 13 (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.)  at the church, 286 Hamilton E. Holmes Drive.

The free series of workshops will include sessions on:  public speaking and first impressions, health and nutrition, etiquette and table manners, grooming and style, self-esteem and spirituality for youth ages 10 – 18.

World Changers hosts

‘The Gathering’

COLLEGE PARK – World Changers Church International and Creflo Dollar Ministries will host “The Gathering” conference July 15 – 19 at the church, 2500 Burdett Road.

The conference will include “life changing” sessions for the entire family with religious artists and speakers from around the world.

Tickets are $50 for families, $20 for adults, and $10 for children and teens.

hosts conference

            ATLANTA – Elizabeth Baptist Church will host its Women of Worship (WOW) Conference July 16 - 18 (7 p.m.) at the church, 4245 Cascade Road.

            The conference theme is “Off Da Chain:  Break through the unhealthy chains of life, and live the power of your God-given potential.”

            The event is free and includes child care for infants and kids through age 17.
