Atlanta native Tracye D. Bryant was named CEO of The Ryan Cameron Foundation. She will oversee the daily operations and strategic vision for the future of the organization.
Bryant previously served as communications director for the Southern Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross.
The Ryan Cameron Foundation (RCF) was established in 2002 to provide Atlanta’s youth with the tools needed to empower them for their future leadership roles.
Alicia Thompson, vice president of communications and public relations at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, has been elected president of the Georgia chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Other PRSA officers elected included: president-elect Neil Hirsch, secretary Alison Ilg, and treasurer Stephen M. Brown.
Spelman College senior Ashley Nicole Jones was crowned the first Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Queen.
Jones, a political science major, received a $10,500 scholarship award.
The inaugural pageant was designed to promote spirituality, scholarship, civic engagement and healthy self-esteem, officials said. Its theme was: “Exposing Minds, Not Bodies!”
