Elderly couple grateful to be alive after home invasion

Early morning Tuesday, Dec. 3 proved to be tough on an Atlanta elderly couple, who were robbed for $700 in cash and nearly $40,000 in valuables, per WSB-TV.

The home invasion occurred in 80-year-old Milton Seals' home on Lynhurst Drive. His wife and 6-year-old grandson were at the residence as well.

"What would make people rob older people, what would make people do this? Is that all they have to do? They should get jobs," Melba Seals, Milton's wife said.

Atlanta police are looking for several robbers.

Seals, an Army veteran is miffed by what happened, but sees a silver lining.

"Well, I don't feel good, but I do feel good because I'm living. I thought they were going to kill me," Milton Seal said.
