ELLENWOOD, Ga. (AP) - Sheriff's officials in metro Atlanta say three deputies have been suspended and one might be fired for behavior that was caught on a cellphone camera.
A video shot by a man inside of an Ellenwood home on July 26 showed deputies storming inside the house around 1:30 a.m. and using obscene language while they were serving a civil warrant requesting that a woman pay a $1,000 fine.
Sheriff Thomas Brown says a sergeant will be demoted unless he retires and the identities of officials facing suspension and termination haven't been released yet.
Authorities have said the woman's son posted footage of the encounter to YouTube.
Ellenwood is about 13 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta.
