“No, I would not feel safer with a police officer with guns in the school.”

Zahia McIntosh, 9 years old

“I think if we had a police officer outside, it would be a little bit safer. But I also think it’s kind of a bad idea, because if somebody tries to come, they could hurt the police officer, probably take one of their instruments, break through the doors and come in still.”

Zaki Gray, 11 years old

“No, I would feel better with an unarmed policeman that could handle things without using any weapons.”

Brianna Harris, 17 years old

“No. They already pepper spray the hallways when things go down, so we don’t need guns in school.”
